Below you will find the route I have mapped out for us and have calculated the real-life mileage from one destination to another (thank you GoogleMaps!). As we reach each destination, I will be tying in our social studies and science themes for the year. We will explore the geographical features of the area, identify landforms, and discuss the communities including the people, customs, and plants and animals. I invite any students who have visited these places, or have family members who live there, to bring in items and pictures or to share stories about their experience.
